"My name is Josiane and I was born in Burkina Faso three years ago. I lived in a small village in the north of the country and one day, suddenly, together with my mom and dad, I had to leave my home, my grandparents and my friends".
Josiane and her family have had to flee from the terrorism that is raging specifically in the north and east of the country. For five years in those areas a series of attacks have caused hundreds of deaths and over 765,000 internally displaced persons. There are entire villages burned, abandoned and deserted. Those who can flee succeed, especially relocating to the central part of Burkina Faso.
This is the case with Josiane's father and mother, who fled and asked the Apostles of the Sacred Heart for help at the mission, where they were welcomed and protected by Sister Philomene, who as representative of the humanitarian project in Burkina Faso, guarantees the right to an education for many children in difficulty.
Josiane was placed in the first year of kindergarten, but to continue to attend school and play with her classmates requires many things: paper for drawing, notebooks, pens, colored pencils, chalk to write on the blackboard, clean clothes and a guarantee of at least one hot meal a day.
Josiane needs your help!
With a donation of € 150 you can adopt Josiane remotely for a year.
Heartfelt thanks for your help. Every small gesture for Josiane and for many children in need is a precious resource.
