Valter Baldaccini has received many awards both in life and after his transition to eternal life, for his uncommon professional and human skills.
Among the many awards that have been assigned to him as an entrepreneur, we remember the Ernst & Young prize, on 22 November 2007, as "Entrepreneur of the year" in the "Quality of Life" category, for having shown great sensitivity in promoting his community, with commitment and social responsibility.
On 19 July 2012 the Municipality of Albanella bestowed honorary citizenship on him. The UMBRAGROUP Research Center was inaugurated in this small town in the Salerno area.
Valter Baldaccini's death has left a deep void in the community and in those who knew him. After his transition to eternal life, initiatives and events have been born to testify to his indelible legacy.
On 29 November 2014, the Mayor Fabrizio Gareggia and the council in office decided to name the square of the Municipality of Cannara after Valter, a sign of his deep bond with the country in which he was born and lived to the last day.
On 26 January 2015, the second-place award of the “Chiara Lubich for the Fraternity” was dedicated to the memory of Valter Baldaccini.
The motivation: “So that the cities of Cannara and Foligno can carry out focused projects together for the common good and for the fraternity and solidarity embodied by the man and entrepreneur Valter Baldaccini and his company; so that work is increasingly an action of dignity and not just profit and can generate an opportunity for public dialogue and love for the territory". An important recognition of the entrepreneur and above all to the man, an example of loyalty to Christian ideals, of openness to one's neighbor in every language and color, of commitment to the most vulnerable, who has been able to combine economics with ethics and reignite the solidarity principle.
On May 4, 2015, based on the proposal of a group of Umbra Cuscinetti employees, which the Municipality of Foligno welcomed, the Mayor Nando Mismetti and the current council, named Valter Baldaccini the street where UMBRAGROUP and the Valter Baldaccini Foundation are based.
