A new project in Mathare told through a video by Sister Gianna
Sister Gianna's words clearly tell the story of the new socio-educational project dedicated to young mothers in Mathare, one of the largest slums in Nairobi, Kenya. For the last month it has been giving a concrete possibility of liberation to 15 single mothers.
They are young women and even minors, who were forced into prostitution, driven by hunger and the lack of alternatives. They inevitably became pregnant and had children.
They sent us this video which we gladly share with you all. As Sister Gianna says, “Mathare's problems cannot be solved, but what we can all do together is nurture seeds of generosity”.
