On Saturday, September 14th, UMBRAGROUP’s soccer team, together with 17 other teams from all over the world, participated in the football tournament organized by Lufthansa Airlines in Hamburg, Germany.
The team took a vacation day off from work, which they transformed into vacation hours to donate to the social projects of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation. Overall, the UMBRAGROUP employees donated 120 hours, which became an important donation for “Mutanu: the pink garden”, the project that the Valter Baldaccini Foundation, together with Sister Federica Zoia, is carrying out in Kenya. This program aims to accompany a group of women towards independence through the creation of job opportunities.
Since 2018, over 40 women have worked, and continue to work, growing vegetables to sell at the market and raising cows, goats and chickens, essential activities necessary for their own livelihood and that of their families.
“Mutanu: the pink garden” is one of thesocio-work inclusion projects that Fondazione Valter Baldaccini is committed to implementing in Italy and around the world, interventions that aim to build paths towards autonomy, independence, and emancipation for those living in conditions of social hardship.
A huge thank you to the entire UMBRAGROUP team for this great gift and congratulations on the excellent fourth place!
