A group of UMBRAGROUP collaborators made a notable gesture of altruism between the end of 2023 and the beginning of the new year: donating a few hours of their holidays to the social projects of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation.
What does this gesture mean? It means that some people have decided to forgo their holidays, allocating the economic value of these hours to support those in more difficult conditions.
We would like to publicly thank Giuseppe Corradi, Daniele Frillici, Stefano Folignoli, Emanuele Goretti, Alessio Ruffinelli and Stefano Toro for making this altruistic gesture and setting an altruistic example we hope others will follow.
Overall, 162 hours were donated which is equivalent to a donation of over €1,500, an important contribution to give continuity to the Foundation’s work inclusion and socio-educational projects, dedicated to those who are most fragile and vulnerable.
Some of the donors have specified which project they want their holiday hours allocated to. Among these are the "Mutanu: the pink garden" project, our now small farm and greenhouse in Kenya. A group of twenty women work there who are following a path towards independence and emancipation between farming and agriculture; a project explained by our contact Sister Federica Zoia during her recent interview with the Gazzetta di Foligno.
Thank you very much for this beautiful and important gift!
