We are happy and proud to inform you that Professor Ottaviano Turrioni’s book “Valter Baldaccini. Un grande uomo, un grande amico" (Morlacchi Editore) was among the candidates for the 2020 FulgineaMente Prize, the literary competition dedicated to Umbrian writers, promoted by the FulgineaMente association.
During various small events, located in significant places in our territory, the 34 candidates for the fourth edition of the award were presented to the citizens.
On Sunday 30 August the book dedicated to Valter Baldaccini’s life was presented in Trevi, at the Church of San Francesco, a place that is particularly close to our heart, because it was precisely in this place on 9 March 2019 that Valter Baldaccini was nominated among the Righteous of the Garden of the Righteous in Trevi.
"Upon his death, after a short, fatal illness, I considered writing about him many times and finally I accepted the invitation of his daughter Beatrice Baldaccini and this book is the result - said the author Ottaviano Turrioni during the presentation - Valter was a great friend. He was sincere, loyal, generous, a brother. What I was interested in bringing out were his moral qualities, the human relationship he had with his employees, the consistency his principles, his living in harmony with his neighbors, in his family, with his childhood friends, with everyone he came into contact with, all who were conquered by his sincere affability ”.
Heartfelt thanks to the FulginaMente association for this opportunity. For all of us it was a new precious opportunity to give more and more people the opportunity to witness the life of Valter Baldaccini.
