The Valter Baldaccini Foundation is collaborating with the Diocese of Foligno’s Citizens of the World Project to organize one of the preparatory initiatives for The Economy of Francesco, the event being promoted by Pope Francis in Assisi for the end of March.
The topic is "Humanizing the economy. Young people and businesses will discuss the creation of work environments that enhance human potential". UMBRAGROUP, Smartpeg and AIPEC have organized the event for Thursday 20 February, from 9 to 12.30, in the San Domenico auditorium in Foligno (Via Federico Frezzi 6/8).
The conference "Humanizing the economy" has been developed for the fourth and fifth year students from the local high schools, who today are facing an environment in which new social and economic changes are transforming the way people work and how they relate to work. Also, as new professionals replace or integrate with old professions, each of them will be required to have new digital and organizational skills to rethink and reinvent themselves (employability).
Starting from the values of San Francesco, students will have the opportunity to share their perceptions and concerns in relation to the employability and organizational skills needed today. The meeting aims to pose a new reflection on the economy and work, where businesses, as Pope Francis says "are sources of hope to build other ways of understanding the economy and progress".
The conference, sponsored by the City of Assisi and the Diocese of Assisi, Nocera Umbra and Gualdo Tadino and moderated by the author and Tv2000 presenter, Eugenia Scotti, has been organized to propose a new way of thinking about the economy, work and business, by putting the person in the center.
