Today, Hasimet is twenty-one years old, but he was only five when he was welcomed into the Leskoc House, in Kosovo, an organization that cares for children and young people who have been orphaned or who live in very complex family situations, where neglect and abandonment prevail. This large reception house is our project partner which creates job opportunities for the children hosted once they become adults.
Hasimet arrived at the House because he was a motherless and his father, elderly and sick, could not take care of him. It wasn't easy for Hasimet, but he gradually began to consider Leskoc House as his own. The school years were problematic and turbulent and at the end of compulsory schooling Hasimet expressed the desire to go to work.
Work not easy to find in Kosovo, due to a lack of opportunities; however, through the Valter Baldaccini Foundation work placement project, Hasimet had the opportunity to train as a baker and now, thanks to your support, he began his apprenticeship as a baker.
Give Hasimet a chance and he will be capable of anything. Thanks to you, he will be able to become a very good baker and have a job that means security, stability, dignity, and a future for him.
