In Kathonzweni, Kenya, there is a splendid greenhouse and a goat farm where the 20 women are involved in the socio-educational project work Mutanu: the pink garden, promoted by the Valter Baldaccini Foundation.
In recent weeks, Sister Federica Zoia, our project contact person, wrote us regarding how enthusiastic the women are about the activities they carry out. For them, this represents a unique opportunity to emancipate themselves and live in a dignified way, in complete autonomy.
Before they lived in absolute poverty, but today they are becoming more and more skilled and responsible and feel motivated to face new challenges. In fact, it was they who expressed the desire to build a chicken coop to produce saleable eggs and chicks to make the project grow even more, which is making them more indipendent and able to provide sustenance for their families.
We need your help to build the chicken coop!
Only thanks to you will every woman be able to have a small chicken coop with 10 hens and a rooster, feed and a supply of water for the animals, which unfortunately is in short supply because there is a severe drought in Kenya.
For Easter, make a special gift to the women of Mutanu who operate the pink garden.
