Five years after Valter Baldaccini spoke these words “Together we have sown a great seed that will grow into a great plant," the Foundation is implementing its first project in the United States, in Michigan, in the town of Saginaw, where one of UMBRAGROUP’s companies is based.
The Foundation has recently approved a project in support of Emmaus House, whose mission is to support women who have experienced abuse, violence, alcohol or drug abuse and prison but have decided to take their lives back into their own hands, with the will to buy back their dignity, freedom and autonomy.
Emmaus House is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 by its enlightened sisters, Shirley Orand and Marietta Fritz. Since 1987 they have helped over 3,000 women on their path to rebirth.
The Valter Baldaccini Foundation will stand alongside them on this journey and to celebrate this new beginning our President Beatrice with her husband Fabrizio and friends James, Virginia and Tracy took part in an Italian-American lunch at Emmaus House.
