After helping fifteen families in difficulty, providing them work grants to cope with daily economic challenges, the pact between the Diocesan Caritas of Foligno has been renewed, and there’s more: the City of Foligno is participating in the project. All this in one day is really important for us: today we are celebrating the Foundation’s third anniversary and the fourth year since the passage to eternal life of Valter Baldaccini, founding father of UMBRAGROUP.
The Family and Work project officially started last September, supporting men and women, fathers and mothers who were left without work and who, thanks to the job grants, were able to count on an income for a few months. This allowed them to live with a little more serenity and regain dignity. We decided to move forward on the wave of these positive experiences in recent months which were made even stronger by the touching testimonies of the beneficiaries, and by the persistence of the economic crisis.
"In an ideal world - said Beatrice Baldaccini (in the center in the picture) remembering the figure of her father - the project Family and Work would not exist, but the fact is, more and more families are living in difficult situations. With the help of Caritas we have intercepted this need and together we give hope to people who, through work, are able to re-enter society. The hope is that this collaboration can be an example for other projects ".
Echoing this common feeling was the Director of Caritas Foligno, Mauro Masciotti (left in the picture): "Valter was our wonderful friend and it is a joy for us to be able to renew this synergy on this day . The project has worked well in recent months and has led to significant results as witnessed. This time, however, we want to take a step further, we want to launch the "Adopt a Family" initiative, to continue following these families, expanding the work path. But we cannot do it alone, that's why we are addressing the whole community ".
"As an administration - explained the councilor for social policies, Maura Franquillo (right in the picture) - we have several tools to curb poverty, but it seemed important to turn a more attentive eye towards the city, so we accepted the proposal of the Baldaccini Foundation to be part of this project. The goal is to be able to intercept even those families that might not seek our services". "I would like to thank Caritas for the work it does every day in support of the community - echoed Mayor Nando Mismetti (in the center in the picture) - and relaunch the appeal to the community. But I also want to remember Valter Baldaccini, a great entrepreneur dedicated to the territory and close to people. This is the core business of the company he founded, and our community must never forget it. "
