Presentation of Valter Baldaccini's collected writings and speeches

Many people filled the red seats of the Teatro San Carlo in Foligno on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 to participate in the presentation of Valter Baldaccini’s collection of writings and speeches: "Valter Baldaccini: an enlightened entrepreneur at the service of the common good", published by Franco Angeli.

Old friends, acquaintances, employees, and retirees of UMBRAGROUP retraced the words of Valter Baldaccini, a journey that recounts the growth, difficulties, and challenges of a company and, above all, offers Valter’s testimony. At work and in private, he  always acted according to Christianity’s Golden Rule: "love your neighbor".

It recounts an emotional and intense story that begins in 1987 and that could only end with what is considered his spiritual testament, the speech he made on April 9, 2014, a few days before his passage to eternal life, to greet all his collaborators: “together we have sown a great seed that will grow into a great plant” he said. Those words inspired the creation of the Foundation that bears his name one year later. 

«We are happy to present this book on the Valter Baldaccini Foundation’s eighth anniversary - commented President Beatrice Baldaccini on the sidelines of the initiative – it is the result of our Councilor Marco Moschini’s intuition and of the hard work collecting, selecting and transcribing the writings that my father left and that we have chosen to publish to try to spread his values, his actions and his testimony of life more and more».

The event, moderated by the director of Radio Gente Umbra Fabio Luccioli, was sponsored by the Municipality of Foligno and was attended by:

• Beatrice Baldaccini, President of the Valter Baldaccini Foundation.
• Marco Moschini, Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Perugia.
• Giampietro Parolin, Professor in charge of Strategic Management at the Sophia University Institute and ESU Financial Manager of Padua.
